Can I change my days?
If a space is available, yes you can.
Will someone help my child with their lunch box?
Absolutely. There is a teacher dedicated every day to supporting children at kai time.
Do you provide lunch?
No, each child brings a their own lunch boxes, however we do have Eat A Rainbow frozen children meals available.
What age do you take?
Children can start Butterfly Preschool from birth until 6 years of age.
How many children do you take?
Butterfly has very small numbers. The caterpillar room has only 8 children, and the preschool has 30 children.
How many teachers do you have?
Butterfly’s has 6 full time qualified, registered teachers and 1 full time teacher-in-training
Do you provide Nappies?
No, parents are expected to provide nappies for their children.
Do you go on excursions?
Butterfly’s is able to have regular excursions every Wednesday in terms 1 and 2 due to the low child teacher ratio.
What activities do you provide?
Butterfly has a variety of extra activities: Mondays are the mobile library, Tuesdays is dancing with Miss Jess from LGS dance, Wednesdays is walking Wednesdays, Thursdays is Playball and Fridays is yoga with Jessica.
Do you have 20 Hours Free ECE and child care subsidies?
Yes, we do - please refer to our Fees page.
What are the minimum hours my child can come?
A minimum of 6 hours a day, 2 days a week.

What are the ages of the children at the centre?
Children range from under 1 years old to 6 years old.
Do you provide sunblock and hats?
Yes. We provide sunblock and subsided sun hats.
Do you assist with toilet training?
Absolutely. We support a child with what ever is happening at home.
Are you open on school holidays?
Yes, all school holidays.
Are you open at Christmas?
Butterfly’s has a close down period of 2 weeks including Christmas and the New Year.
What happens if my child is unwell?
If your child is unwell, we ring a parent/guardian straight away. Your child will be supported by a teacher until a parent arrives.
Can my child come on casual days?
Unfortunately, no - Butterfly Preschool does not offer casual days.
How do I change days?
Check with a Head Teacher if there is availability and complete a Change of Hours form to confirm.
